Classic Fried Potatoes and Onions

🍳 Instructions
1. Prep the Vegetables
Peel the potatoes and slice them into thin, even rounds.
Slice the onion into thin rings or half-moons, depending on your preference.
2. Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Cook the Potatoes and Onions
Add the sliced potatoes and onions to the skillet in an even layer.
Sprinkle with garlic powder, dill, salt, and pepper.
4. Sauté to Perfection
Let the mixture cook undisturbed for a few minutes to develop a golden crust.
Stir occasionally, allowing the potatoes to brown evenly and the onions to soften and caramelize.
Continue cooking for 20–25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender on the inside and crisp on the outside.
🥄 Serving Tips
Serve hot as a hearty side dish for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Try them with scrambled eggs, roasted meats, or a fresh green salad.
Optional: Top with fresh herbs, a sprinkle of paprika, or a drizzle of hot sauce for extra flavor!
