Jalapeño Peach Chicken
Tender chicken cooked in a sweet-and-spicy peach glaze with fresh jalapeños. Perfect with rice, mashed potatoes, or grilled veggies!
INGREDIENTS
For the Chicken
- 500–600 g chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
For the Peach–Jalapeño Sauce
- 2 cups fresh peaches, diced
(or 1 can peaches, drained) - 2 tbsp peach jam (optional for extra glaze)
- 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry, optional for thick sauce)
For Garnish
- Fresh cilantro or parsley
- Extra peach slices
- Extra jalapeño slices
INSTRUCTIONS
Season the Chicken
Rub the chicken with: salt
pepper
garlic powder
paprika
Set aside for 10 minutes.
Sear the Chicken
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken.
- Cook until golden brown:
- Breasts: 4–5 min per side
- Thighs: 5–6 min per side
Remove chicken and set aside.
Make the Peach–Jalapeño Sauce
In the same skillet, add:
- peaches
- garlic
- jalapeño slices
- honey
- soy sauce
- vinegar/lemon juice
- peach jam (optional)
Cook for 5–7 minutes until peaches soften.
