Better than any cleaner! Put THAT in your toilet and you will be amazed!
Instead of special chemical cleaners, which are often aggressive, you can use simple home remedies to make your toilet shine again. An effective and environmentally friendly remedy that is often underestimated is a combination of vinegar and baking soda.
Why vinegar and baking soda are so effective
The mixture of vinegar and baking soda (baking soda) creates a chemical reaction that releases carbon dioxide gas. This bubbly mixture helps loosen dirt, limescale and urine scale so that they can be easily removed.
- Vinegar is a mild acid that effectively dissolves limescale and mineral deposits.
- Baking soda acts as a gentle abrasive and neutralizes odors.
-
- Add a cup of vinegar to the toilet: Spread the vinegar over the inner walls of the toilet bowl. Vinegar essence is even more effective. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes – or even better, overnight if you don’t need the toilet.
- Add baking soda: Sprinkle half a cup of baking soda into the toilet bowl. The baking soda immediately reacts with the vinegar and begins to bubble.
- Brushing and rinsing: After the exposure time, brush the toilet bowl thoroughly with the toilet brush. The previously softened deposits should now come off easily.
- Flush the toilet: Finally, flush the toilet to remove any residue.
For particularly stubborn stains, you can make a paste of vinegar and baking soda and apply it directly to the affected areas before brushing.
This trick is not only cost-effective, but also more environmentally friendly and less aggressive than many commercially available cleaners. It helps to keep your toilet clean while eliminating stubborn debris.
