👩‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare the Cereal:

2. Create the Coating:

  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, and white chocolate chips.

  • Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

3. Flavor the Mixture:

  • Add the dry pistachio pudding mix to the warm white chocolate mixture and stir until fully incorporated and smooth.

  • Mix in the vanilla extract and salt.

4. Coat the Cereal:

  • Pour the creamy pistachio mixture over the Rice Chex in the large bowl.

  • Using a spatula, gently fold and toss the cereal until every piece is evenly coated. Be careful not to crush the cereal.

5. Add the Powdered Sugar:

  • Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the coated cereal.

  • Toss again gently until all the pieces are thoroughly dusted with the sugar.

6. Cool and Set:

  • Spread the puppy chow out on a large baking sheet or parchment paper to cool and set completely.

  • Once cool, transfer to an airtight container.

💡 Pro-Tips:

  • For Best Results: This treat is best enjoyed within 1-2 days of making it, as it can become soft over time.

  • Double-Bag Method: For easy mixing, you can combine the coated cereal and powdered sugar in a large, sealed zip-top bag and shake gently.

  • Variation: For an extra nutty crunch, stir in ½ cup of chopped pistachios after adding the powdered sugar.
